In the remote woods of Oregon lies one of the richest gold mines in the United States that was abandoned 80 years ago when a series of tragedies gave it an infamous reputation for being haunted. Now, new owner Larry Overman has decided to take on the notorious legend and reopen the mine, assembling a colorful team of miners – both seasoned and new – to battle the elements along with a pair of experienced paranormal investigators, in hopes of finding a fortune.
Larry Overman, Former Asset MGR for a multi-national Oil Field Service company, and after 18 years in the Oil industry has decided to risk it all on an old abandon gold mine in the high elevations of Eastern Oregon’s Elk Horn Mtn’s. At the time Overman made this decision he was a single father to his lovely daughter. Since moving to Oregon he met the love of his life Stacie.
Stacie meets Larry:
A friend of Stacie’s introduced her to like-minded entrepreneur Larry Overman. When they met, Larry told her about an upcoming TV project based on the story of his gold mine in eastern Oregon. He wanted to leverage the opportunity to raise money for charity. Stacie was intrigued. And she felt a spark between them.She left her job at American Cancer Society to re-establish her talent agency, changing the name from Moonlight Talent to TAKE 2.
Larry asked Stacie to marry him in April 2012. They tied the knot on horseback five months later while on location in eastern Oregon, shooting the reality TV show Larry had envisioned.Filming the reality TV show, “Ghost Mine” While working with a Hollywood production company, Larry’s idea for the show “Ghost Mine” came to mind after sharing his stories of gold mining and ghost hunting in “Crescent mine” near Sumpter, Oregon.
Giving back and looking forward:
Determined to continue supporting the fight against cancer, she and Larry attended American Cancer Society’s Portland HOPE Ball the last two years. This year, they hosted the HAUNTED MINE EXPERIENCE in Sumpter and at The Crescent Mine, which raised funds for Camp Ukandu, and St. Jude for children with cancer.
